Can You Take Vitamin A and Vitamin D2 Together?
Dose or timing may matter
The short answer
High-dose vitamin A antagonizes vitamin D function at the VDR receptor level. Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) has lower receptor affinity than D3, making it more susceptible to vitamin A antagonism.
How to arrange timing
Avoid mega-dosing vitamin A if taking vitamin D2. Consider using vitamin D3 instead for better receptor binding.

Important context
Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
