Can You Take Iron and Riboflavin 5'-Phosphate Together?

May affect absorption

The short answer

Riboflavin 5'-phosphate (FMN) is the active coenzyme form of vitamin B2. Riboflavin is required for iron mobilization from ferritin stores, and FMN-dependent enzymes participate in iron metabolism. However, concurrent high-dose supplementation may cause GI discomfort.

How to arrange timing

Can be taken together at moderate doses. Separate by 1 hour at high doses.

Important context

Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
