Can You Take Iron and Postnatal Vitamin Together?
May affect absorption
The short answer
Postnatal vitamins typically contain iron along with calcium, zinc, and other minerals that compete for absorption. Taking additional iron supplements alongside a postnatal vitamin may lead to excessive iron intake and GI distress, while calcium in the prenatal may reduce iron absorption.
How to arrange timing
Check iron content in your postnatal vitamin before adding separate iron. Space additional iron 2 hours from the postnatal vitamin.

Important context
Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
