Can You Take Iron and Myricetin Together?

May affect absorption

The short answer

Myricetin is a flavonol with six hydroxyl groups — more than quercetin — making it an exceptionally potent iron chelator. It can form highly stable iron complexes in the gut.

How to arrange timing

Separate Myricetin and iron supplements by at least 2 hours. Myricetin is one of the most potent flavonoid iron chelators.

Important context

Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
