Can You Take Coconut Oil and MCT Oil Together?
Use extra care with this pair
The short answer
MCT Oil is a concentrated fraction of Coconut Oil (primarily C8 and C10). Taking both stacks medium-chain triglyceride intake, which commonly causes GI distress including diarrhea and abdominal cramping.
How to arrange timing
Choose either Coconut Oil or MCT Oil, not both. MCT Oil is already a concentrated extract of the medium-chain fatty acids in Coconut Oil.

Important context
Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
