Can You Take Calcium and Vitamin D2 Together?
Dose or timing may matter
The short answer
Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) increases intestinal calcium absorption. While this is generally beneficial, high-dose vitamin D2 combined with high calcium supplementation may lead to hypercalcemia and increase the risk of calcium-related adverse effects.
How to arrange timing
Monitor calcium levels when taking high-dose vitamin D2 with calcium. Ensure adequate vitamin K2 intake for proper calcium distribution.

Important context
Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
