Can You Take Vitamin D2 and Vitamin K2 Together?

Dose or timing may matter

The short answer

Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) increases calcium absorption and osteocalcin production, but without adequate vitamin K2, the osteocalcin remains uncarboxylated and calcium may deposit in arteries rather than bone. This parallels the well-established D3-K2 interaction.

How to arrange timing

Co-supplement vitamin K2 (especially MK-7) when taking vitamin D2, just as recommended with vitamin D3.

Important context

Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
