Can You Take Fish Oil (Omega-3) and Uridine Monophosphate Together?
Dose or timing may matter
The short answer
Uridine Monophosphate and Fish Oil (DHA) synergistically enhance phosphatidylcholine synthesis and synaptic membrane formation. While this is often an intentional stack, high doses may cause excessive membrane fluidity changes or GI effects.
How to arrange timing
This is a well-known synergistic stack (Mr. Happy Stack). Use standard doses: 250mg Uridine with 1g DHA. Monitor for GI discomfort.
Reference
Reference noted for this combination: Wurtman RJ, et al. Synaptic proteins and phospholipids are increased in gerbil brain by administering uridine plus docosahexaenoic acid orally. Brain Res. 2006;1088(1):83-92.
Important context
Whether supplements suit you together also depends on dose, product formulation, health conditions, and medication use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition.
