Fasoracetam modulates GABA-B receptor activity and upregulates GABA-B receptors. Taking GABA alongside may alter the balance of GABAergic signaling in ways that are difficult to predict.

If combining, use lower doses of GABA and monitor for excessive sedation or paradoxical agitation.
